It's not a screen and it's not a projection. It's real light, under real resin — with two modes you control.
TOUCH MODE
The light follows your hand
A capacitive sensor reads where you touch and sends a trail of warm starlight chasing your fingertips across the surface. The reason no one believes it until they try it.
AMBIENT MODE
A full sky, on demand
Tap the remote and the entire starfield glows steadily — no touch needed. Adjust brightness and modes to set the mood for the whole room.

Hand-set fibre optics
Hundreds of strands individually threaded into a solid wood base — so every table's star pattern is one of a kind.

Deep resin pour
Flooded with hand-poured epoxy and cured for days, locking the fibres under a glass-smooth, spill-proof top.

Touch driver + remote
A capacitive driver powers both the touch trail and the remote-controlled ambient glow, brightness and modes.

WHO MAKES IT
A small team, one table at a time
Lumen & Oak is a studio of furniture designers obsessed with one idea: a table that feels alive. Every piece is cut, drilled, threaded, poured and polished by hand in our workshop.
Because each top takes days to set and finish, we only release a small batch at a time. When it sells out, the next pour is weeks away.

How it's made

STEP 01
The frame
A solid maple base is cut, routed and sealed into a watertight mold.
STEP 02
The star map
Hundreds of tiny holes are drilled by hand in a constellation grid.
STEP 03
Threading the light
Each fibre-optic strand is fed through by hand — the slow part.
STEP 04
The bundle
Strands gathered and routed to the light source beneath the top.
STEP 05
The electronics
Touch drivers and LED boards wired and tested before the pour.
STEP 06
Pour & polish
Flooded with black resin, cured, then wet-sanded to a glass finish.

Fibre-optic strands set into the wood base are lit from below and sealed under clear resin. A capacitive sensor reads where you touch and sends the light chasing your hand. A remote also gives you a steady ambient glow with brightness and mode control.

Yes. The cured epoxy top is hard, heat-resistant and waterproof — set drinks straight on it. Wipe with a soft damp cloth; the included cloth keeps the shine. Avoid abrasive cleaners.

We process orders in 1–2 business days, then ship. Delivery typically takes 12–15 business days, with tracking as soon as it dispatches.

Every table is covered for 1 year against lighting failure and build defects. If anything stops working as it should, we repair or replace it.

Return within 30 days of delivery for a refund, in original condition and packaging. Since each piece is handmade, return shipping is arranged with our team — just reach out.
